The new series, which branches off from The Boys, undoubtedly follows a similar path but features a younger generation. It’s created to introduce fresh content for both its own narrative and The Boys as well.

The series tells the story of young characters at Gokdolkin University, a training center for new-generation superheroes to become top-tier superheroes following their own talents. Their ultimate goal is to join the Seven team. What sets the characters in this series apart from typical American teenage life at a university is that they are a group of individuals with special powers and bad. This is probably what viewers would expect before watching. However, as the end of Ep 1 unfolds with intense and violent scenes, viewers will understand that the series doesn’t follow the typical storyline but delves into the path of teaming up to expose the secrets of Gokdolkin, which is backed by Vought. The story is a direct continuation from Season 3 of The Boys. It’s recommended to watch it beforehand for a better understanding of the characters and the events that will gradually connect. Gen V intensifies the plot in every episode, with secrets and moments that continuously disrupt the characters’ relationships. The group of characters in this story will likely evolve into a powerful group in the future, as each individual’s unique and distinctive powers make them stand out, and some are on par with The Boys, having just started to develop their abilities. They are also teenagers who are lost and searching for themselves, which leads to inner turmoil that may hinder them from using their powers to the fullest. Nevertheless, there are brutal scenes, although they haven’t had full-scale combat scenes yet.

In the main character group, there won’t be anyone who is entirely good or bad. Everyone is a gray character, and there are no pure, clean-cut characters. Even if there is a protagonist with a honest and introverted personality, she never really integrates into society because she grew up isolated at home from a young age until adulthood. However, she is not as innocent as she appears and carries the burden of past mistakes. This is something all the characters have in common. The series allows viewers to witness the character development that arises from the relationships of the teenage characters dealing with love, family issues, and Parents who are determined to raise their children to make money. This issue has been mentioned in the series “The Boys,” where the parents allowed Vought to inject them with a serum when they were children. However, this series delves into the details of how these circumstances lead parents to push their children to make money to the point where they almost become mentally ill, resulting in lasting psychological problems. The majority of characters in “The Boys” are affected by this. The series emphasizes these aspects so strongly that it becomes a significant subplot, posing the question of how these kids will ever escape these problems.

As for the Supes characters from “The Boys,” many of them appear in this series. Some make cameo appearances as images or video presentations, while others appear in illusion. However, there are main characters from the Supes who make significant appearances and engage in battles, for sure. In addition to them, members of Vought also make their presence felt, including Ashley Barrett, who continues to oversee promotional projects as usual. Other characters are introduced to support the story, and a crucial female character with a presidential campaign storyline carries over from “The Boys.” In this series, she will reveal important secrets about herself, making it evident that both of these series will be intricately connected in the future.

In summary, this series is a direct continuation of “The Boys” Season 3, essentially being a “3.5” installment. It introduces a new storyline while still maintaining connections to “The Boys.” Every prominent character possesses unique powers, displaying both cruelty and complexity.
